Lakeview Schools Out Sweet Tournament

What is a Sweet Tournament? A Sweet Tournament is one where the prizes are consumables - either something sweet like chocolate or something healthy like fruit. Other prizes may also be available. Check the prize list to be sure.

When: June 9th, 2012

Sections: Divided by Rating. Divisions depend on Number of Players. So come to play competitive chess.

Prizes: There will be Candy. There will be Trophies.

Time Control: Game 30 (Digital Clocks with delay will be set at Game 30 with 5 seconds delay.)

Schedule: Check in from 8 to 9am. Final registration with deletions due before 9am. No new entries and no substitutions allowed on Saturday morning after 9am. This allows time for first round pairings. As players arrive they should check in at the Tournament Control table. If you are late and not checked in when pairings are made, you will receive a first round half point bye and you may play in rest of tournament. First round will start at 9:30am. Third round will start at 12:30pm. Other rounds and awards ASAP.

Entry Fee: $10 per player (payable at site, check or cash ok). USCF membership required and can be purchased at site.

Note !! You must show proof of USCF membership at each tournament. Your USCF CARD or MAGAZINE LABEL or ORIGINAL RECEIPT are all acceptable forms of proof of USCF membership. If you don’t have proof of USCF membership you must buy another years worth at the tournament you want to play.

How to enter: Advanced entry preferred. e-mail preferred - wzim@sbcglobal.net. Entries will be accepted at the door.

Info needed: Players last name, first name and middle in that order, school, grade, birth date, USCF number, rating if available, and e-mail for future events and names of persons in charge. All players must have supervision at the tournament.

Directions To Lakeview Museum: From I-74 take University St North to Lake St, turn right and about 1/4 block later turn left. The Museum is in the back, past the Theatre and Library. Go past the Main Entrance and turn left into the Parking Lot.
