Hult Chess Club Meetings restart January 6th

Due to the timing of the year end holidays, there will be no more Friday night club meetings until January. Please join us January 6th when club meetings resume. The year end hiatus also applies to Saturday & Sunday chess lessons at the Peoria North Library. Our 2017 schedule for Friday night meeting at Schnucks and private lessons begin January 6th. See you at Schnucks!!

No More Saturday Chess Lessons

Coaches Murrel & Patrick will be discontinuing Saturday chess lessons. Lessons on other days of the week will be unaffected. The change is due to the too frequent interruptions due to chess tournaments & competing student events which seem to fall on Saturdays. It is hoped that we will be able to provide other more generic workshops of interest to multiple students on non-conflicting Saturdays. Topics being reviewed for workshop presentations include endgame technique, tactics and strategic planning as well as general chess principles, specific openings and other topics of chess interest. To move your lessons day & time to another day please see your coach to reschedule.

Hult Chess Club Info

Hult Chess Club meets every Friday night in classroom 3 in the basement of the Proctor Professional Building on the Proctor Hospital campus, from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The space there is large and well lighted. We have had numerous chess workshops there in years past. Enter from the rear of the building on the side nearest to the hospital. There is plenty of free parking available there. Take the elevator down to the basement and our meeting room will be about half way down the hall way on your left.
