Where: Mark Twain Hotel Packard Building 225 NE Adams Street Peoria, IL 61602 USA

What: This tournament is 4 round, 5 rounds for K-3, officially rated United States Chess Federation (USCF) Swiss System Scholastic event for individuals. Players divided into sections by grade for pairing and prize purposes. All players play all rounds. Special discounted US Chess memberships available on site. Coaches should check the GPCF program on our web site.

Who: Eligibility Pre-K through High School.

Entry Fee: $5 per player (payable at site, check or cash). If attending as a school, $5 per student with $100 maximum. USCF membership required and can be purchased at site. Time Control:

  • K-3: Game 30 minutes, 5 second delay
  • 4-HS:Game 45 minutes, 5 second delay

Prizes: Individual trophies: Trophies to the top 3 individuals in each, medals to 4 & 5. You must have a score of at least ½ point to get a trophy. Team trophies: Top 3 schools in each section for middle school & high school. Junior high team awards based on combined totals of top 4 players in section. Extra: Pizza and juice and other food is available downstairs during the day. Other restaurants are nearby downtown.
